The China Silk Museum is located on the bank of Xizi Lake in Hangzhou. It is a national silk museum and the world's largest silk museum. It is a provincial-level deputy department level public institution in Zhejiang Province, covering an area of five hectares, with a construction area of 8000 square meters and a display area of 3000 square meters. It was officially opened to the public on February 26, 1992.
